Finding us
The National STEM Learning Centre in York is a unique teacher CPD venue, mirroring the modern classroom and laboratory facilities, as well as housing our inspirational resources centre. We are within walking distance from York city centre. York is ideally placed with excellent rail links, thanks to the east coast mainline, and close to the M1, M62 and M18.
Our London office is in Moorgate, and is also home to the STEM Ambassador Hub for London.

Travel by rail
You can get to York from London in less than two hours with services from both LNER and Grand Central. There are direct services from Birmingham and the South West. TransPennine Express runs direct train services from Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle.

York is just 20 minutes from the M1/M62 motorway network and is within comfortable driving times from many parts of the UK.

However, we suggest using public transport as parking is limited. The nearest pay and display is North Car Park but is often full from quite early on in the day. The machines accept contactless payment or payment made by phone.

Walk
It takes 25-40 minutes to walk from York city centre or York train station.Bus
A bus service, the number 66, runs from York station to the University approximately every 10 minutes. Alight at the University Library stop. The scheduled journey time is 20 minutes. Find out more about getting around York by bus.Bike
There are abundant cycle tracks and bike parks available on campus and bike racks at our centre. It takes 15-25 minutes to cycle from York station.Taxi
There is a taxi rank outside York station. Ask for National STEM Learning Centre, York Medical School or the University of York’s Campus North car park.

By train or London Underground
The office has three tube stations within walking distance. If you are using the Central, Northern or Waterloo and City lines, Bank station is a five-minute walk.
If you are arriving via the Circle or District lines, go to Moorgate or Mansion House, which are both a five-minute walk.
By bus
Several bus routes run near the building; 21, 43, 76, 141, 100, 388. Find out more about getting around London by bus.
By taxi
Ironmonger Lane runs between Gresham Street and Cheapside and is one-way traffic via Gresham Street.
By bike
The building has bike racks available if you are visiting by bike.
By car
The building has no on-site parking. There are, however, two car parks less than a mile from the STEM Learning office: NCP Aldersgate and NCP Finsbury Square.
